Initially founded in 1953, Chengdu Design and Research Institute of Building Materials Industry Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as CDI) is one of consortium members of China SINOMA Group, and is also one of the earliest established cement design and research institutes in China, who represented the most advanced cement technology level in China, and has become one of the world famous EPC contractors for cement engineering and construction.
Aiming at “technical innovation, design optimization, guaranteed quality and whole-range servicing”, CDI have designed more than one hundred precalcining cement production lines with capacity of 1,000 tpd to 10,000 tpd for customers home and abroad. With its technical superiority, equipment manufacturing and packaging capability and advanced engineering management system, CDI can supply systematic integration service for cement companies all over the world. Till now, CDI has completed more than ten EPC projects in ten countries. In order to realize industrialization of scientific research achievements, CDI established its equipment-manufacturing base in Chengdu National Economical and Technical Development Zone where covered a land of 10 ha, to combine basic research, scientific test, technical development and equipment industrialization into a whole.
Adopting the core technology from CDI, Union Cement Company (UCC) 10,000 t.Cl/d production line in UAE has successfully passed 72-hrs performance test in April 26, 2007. The Owner held a grand cerebration ceremony at plant site in May 17, 2007. The smooth completion of this production line has broken the market situation monopolized by European companies in international large-scale cement project engineering, and ushered in a new era for Chinese cement engineering construction history.After initiation and development for more than 50 years, CDI has become an engineering company with international competitive power, and engaged in R&D, project engineering, EPC contracting, equipment manufacturing, project inspection, technical consultation and technical servicing, and has been entitled to direct foreign trade and equipment import & export authority.
